Crown Court

Crown Court Representation

Our team of lawyers have a wealth of experience in representing clients in the most serious and complex cases as well in more regular cases.

We treat all clients and all cases with the same dedicated approach recognising that every case is of the utmost importance to those that are facing it. We appoint a particular lawyer to deal with each client and case so as to preserve continuity of representation wherever possible. By and large therefore you should always see the same lawyer.

Our lawyers prepare cases diligently and are skilled at drafting, in tandem with counsel, legal documents including proofs of evidence, witness statements, defence case statements, bad character applications, notices of applications for bail and the like.

Reputable Barristers

As a firm we have longstanding working relationships with the most reputable barristers chambers in order to ensure that the best advocates, sometimes including Kings Counsel, are instructed to present your case in Court.

If you are remanded in custody our lawyers will visit you to ensure proper case preparation is maintained. Visits in the main will be face to face rather than on video link as we believe this is a more productive way to engage trust and progress cases.

Experts Available

If your case requires an expert, whether it be a forensic scientist, a psychiatrist, a pathologist, a telephone cell site expert, a road traffic collision expert or other, then our lawyers can advise on this and arrange for a suitable professional to undertake the work. We have a host of longstanding relationships with experts and expert agencies to facilitate this. Similarly we can easily arrange for interpreters to assist in the case if English is not your first language.

Help With Recovering Costs

If your case ends with an acquittal then our lawyers can assist in recovering your private costs or legal aid contributions. If your case ends with a conviction and sentence then our lawyers and counsel can assist in providing advice on appealing conviction and or sentence and with the appeal proceedings themselves if relevant.

In summary our lawyers and instructed barristers / experts will together aim at preparing and presenting a detailed and fearless response to the Crown’s case.
